WOMEN AS AVIATORS Women had difficulties joining the military. Jacqueline showed leadership by beginning the program that provided women the opportunity to participate as pilots in the war demonstrating that they could fly just as well as men.

WASP'S EFFECT ON THE WAR The United States was in need of more ferrying pilots to take the places of those flying in combat missions. Jacqueline proposed an idea that allowed women to participate in the war, while at the same time helping the military.

WASP'S LEGACY Years after World War II, women all across the United States are currently being effected by the program put in place in 1942. Women Air force Service Pilots helped introduce women into the military.
