Jacqueline Cochran was a strong minded woman who pushed aside the gender viewpoints. Through WASP, women showed their skills confirming that they were equal to men in flying. In 1977, nearly 30 years after the war, WASP were finally militarized by congress who recognized them as World War II veterans. Jacqueline’s leadership and the WASP’s participation has changed the military gender comparisons forever.
